When you register for MERGE, each group leader needs to complete our Project Selection Guide – a multi-page form that helps us to better understand what skills and interests you have for your missions experience. On the form, you will rank your interest in the following projects, which we classify into two main categories: community projects and construction projects.
VBS & DAYCAMP MINISTRY
Service takes place at a local church or Boys & Girls Club. This project assignment centers around developing a program of daily activities for the week and developing relationships with the kids.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Service takes place at various local assisted-living facilities. Groups typically visit with patients, write letters for them, play bingo/cards with them, and sing to them.
Involves planning a casual gathering in a target community to provide exposure for local ministries, positive entertainment, and an informal setting for sharing the Gospel.
Groups walk through specific neighborhoods while asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen local churches and to redeem the people, schools, government, businesses, etc.
Includes shingle removal, decking repair/replacement, and shingle installation. No experience required, although the group should be comfortable with heights.
HANDICAP RAMP CONSTRUCTION
Includes patio demolition/removal and installation of new ADA regulation handicap ramps. No experience required.
Includes siding repair/replacement. No experience required.
Includes various forms of yard work to improve the appearance of landscaping at homes where projects are occurring. No experience required.

After you register, we need the following forms completed by each group no later than May 4, 2018.

At the time of registration, a $50/person deposit is required to reserve your spots at MERGE. Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to balances due to decreases through May 4, 2018.
All remaining balances are due in full no later than May 4, 2018. All camp payments are non-refundable and non-transferable after May 4, 2018.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES
Full group cancellations will result in forfeiture of deposit payments through May 4, 2018. After this date, cancellations will result in forfeiture of all payments. For changes in group size, deposit payments/balances can be transferred to any remaining balance through May 4, 2018. After this date, any decreases will result in forfeiture of all payments.
LATE PROCESSING FEE
All forms and balances for each participating group are due by May 4, 2018. In the event that balance payments and forms are not received by this deadline, the group will be subject to a $150 late processing fee. If you anticipate a delay in the receipt of these items, short-term extensions can be granted if requests are received prior to the deadline by calling the MERGE office at 770-936-5234.
WEATHER/NATURAL DISASTER POLICY
MERGE has your group’s safety in mind as we host events. If we are unable to host an event due to weather conditions or other Acts of God, deposits cannot be refunded. Refunds of the final balance payments will be made only if properties and/or facilities are able to refund MERGE for these costs. If an event is hosted as scheduled and your group cancels or reduces numbers due to weather conditions, all payments are non-refundable.
